Hello! This is a picture of Emily and Cooper from a couple of weeks ago. We will have an update for you soon!
Hi, I’m Cooper Brooks Ogle. I was born August 24, 2006, and I have complete DiGeorge Syndrome: I have no immune system and lots of heart and other problems. In January, I traveled to Duke University Medical Center with my mom and dad, Emily & Brooks Ogle. Mom is staying with me while the doctors are fixing my problems, and Dad is in TN, working to support us and visiting as often as he can. Soon, I’ll receive a thymus transplant, which will develop my immune system. Thanks for visiting me!

What an adorable baby boy! I am fortunate enough to get to see Cooper almost every day. (My baby girl is his neighbor so Emily and I get to check on each other.) I am so glad for you guys. Good luck with the "Room In" and I am going to miss you when you go!

Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy! My heart goes out to you and my prayers go up for you. I understand a bit of what you're facing, as my own son traveled to Georgetown for his life-saving treatments when he was very small and diagnosed with a rare condition. I pray that you will not only find the medical treatment that Cooper needs, but that you will have peace and comfort in knowing that God will provide your every need....medical, physical, spiritual, emotional and financial.
Hello Emily,
My name is Kelly Mitchell and I am from Sevierville as well. I recently moved to Middle TN. by Vanderbilt because my son has DiGeorge Syndrome and the care he needs was more advanced here in Nashville. My grandmother called me from Dandridge to tell me your story from the news. My heart goes out to you and your family I know what kind of pain you are going though. I want to you know that we are praying for you and Cooper. Our son Alex is now 2 years old and is doing so well. He is a wonderful child and a blessing to have each and everyday. We to had the surgery at Vanderbilt for open heart and they are so good there I can't speak highly enough about them. We still attend Vandy for all of his care. Alex did not have as severe immune system problems as your baby so I can not imagine how that is for you, but we did have the heart, weight problem, very bad stomach problems, and several other issues. Right now we are battleing speech. It is a long hard road and if you need anything or anyone to talk to please contact me anytime at 865-803-4522 that is my cell phone number or Plumbingmasters4tn@yahoo.com
Sincerley,
The Mitchells
